Tempest in a Teacup?

It’s a vital and imperative skill for one to be able to find sunshine of some sort during the midst of any storm. I’m rather adept at finding the light in most situations but as I too am human I also find my awareness can at times lead to an almost overwhelming sensation based upon the emotions, thoughts and choices of those around me. This has always provided me an excellent opportunity to learn. A chance to sift through, sort and determine which aspects of emotion are authentic to my own being and which have been attached to me through no ill intent of those around me.

Life and living are incredibly and beautifully linked with perfect balance. On one side of a coin can be found the essence of light and the divine and flip that bad boy over and you can find the opposite of that yet it’s still divine. The odd and comforting aspect of it all is that both sides serve to direct the eventual destination to the same station. With the same result. Both sides are intrinsically necessary and dependent in a sense upon the other.

So how do we use this to our advantage? Or rather not use it but how do we navigate our living and lives once we realize this is the truth. Allowing for the blossoming of a greater understanding and awareness within our hearts, souls and minds. The answer to this one is pretty simple also. We look out for ourselves while holding empathy and compassion for all whom we encounter. We follow the true calling of our hearts and take the steps that walk down a compassionate path understanding that all of life and living is there to teach us.

We make choices that allow us to listen to what our hearts and intuition tell us we need and we do our best at all times and allowing forgiveness for ourselves when we inevitably stumble. You see because we will and we do stumble at times, yet even as we regain our equilibrium we find that if we have followed our heart with true intention we will find that our learning can be softer.

All the light and all the dark in this world does indeed serve a purpose and that purpose is to allow us a path back to the light within ourselves. Trust your gut and follow your heart. Listen to your intuition and forgive yourself for the times when you stumble. For the weight of this living can at times feel a bit crushing, at least for me. Because when I look around and I see actions taken out of hatred or anger or injustice they impact me on an emotional level for a bit, because I cannot comprehend why someone would be so foolish and short sighted as to presume the evil they willfully and at times gleefully perpetuate upon or against others will not one day return to roost at the source of its origin. It always does and it always will because that is in fact divine and universal law.

If you find yourself in a storm of sorts right now then maybe try and remember something that brings you joy. Recall a favorite song or food or place and wrap yourself up in the blanket of that energy so tightly that you can remember your way back to your own divine essence. That joyfully heart centered, bright and lovingly powerful essence of divinity within us all. Smile and laugh so hard your belly hurts. Go for a walk, do anything and everything to keep shifting your energy until it remembers once again that it’s home is one of love, peace and forgiveness.

The actions that others take against us can only cause us the pain we choose to allow into our lives based upon our judgements and perceptions of the perspectives of those foisting their own imperfections upon our shoulders in a vain and vapid attempt to not have to carry them themselves. Ironically lacking the foresight to realize that in doing this they only make the burden greater for themselves eventually. Learn we must and learn we do. It is inevitable and divine and so it is unstoppable. For that I am eternally grateful.

I love you all!
