Ready To Relax Yet?

So my dear one. When is the last time you can say you honestly relaxed? It’s an oft talked about and at times little understood secret to living a good life that can get lost in the midst of daily struggle and the at times drama that can present itself in our lives. How easily we can find ourselves enshrined in a tenseness between our shoulders, our bodies anticipating the next stress. All the while forgetting that at the moment we are so tense there is in all actuality no present threat. Look around you right now. Where are the damn lions, tigers and bears? That’s right they ain’t there. Unless you are reading this while sitting in a zoo, in which case your right and I’m wrong but hey there is still glass and barriers so. Hehe Maybe I’m still right? I’m totally still right.

If you are sitting at a computer reading this or on your phone then take a moment to do a body scan. It is a great technique that I didn’t come up with but that I use on a regular and frequent basis to enable the softening of my own energy and flow. It’s pretty simple and easy even if you are not accustomed to meditation.

Here’s how..

Simply sit or lie down and if you are sitting the make sure both of your feet are on the ground. Then close your eyes and become aware of your body. You do this by starting to focus on your feet. Feel your toes and the soles of your feet. Are they warm or cold or tingly for example. Become aware of the physical sensations present. Then you can work your way along your entire body feeling and becoming aware of any areas that may be holding tension. As you focus on any areas that are holding tension then with your mind, direct the intention to relax that area or part. Allow your body to soften and allow the free flow of energy as opposed to the restrictive tension of trying to control it. Imagine yourself rooted to the earth through the soles of your feet like a cord that goes all the way to the center of the earth. Then also imagine from the crown of your head a line of connection to whatever you call the source of Divine I choose Heavenly Father as it allows my heart to open even more in the joy of being loved, held and protected by the supreme creator of all life. I feel so much power once I relax into being held by such strength, support and love. I have always felt as though we are the tools of the connection of divinity. That we are the facilitators of a unique and infinitely powerful connection between the powers of creation via love.

Once you have directed your focus to relaxing your body, then focus back to your heart and the feel and sensation of love. It’s gentle, soft strength and indisputable power. Feel love the essence of Divinity flowing throughout your entire body spreading from your heart to shine upon your entire body. Send extra love to any part that you may hold a negative judgement of. This is the love that we must source within ourselves first and foremost or we may find ourselves caught in infinite loops and an endless race in search of its treasure externally. Relax your shoulders.. Allow your body to release any and all tension. This is a beautiful opportunity to realize the direct correlation between our thoughts and the reciprocal energies present in our lives and bodies. You may find as you are releasing this tension that thoughts come into your mind. These are the trigger keys to why you are holding that tension presently. These are the lessons you are currently working through with the teachers that may be present in your life in other words everyone as we are all each others teachers on some level.

It is said that our lives are a reflection of our inner state. That conflicts are present when we are experiencing the same internally. This is true I have found, although the internal conflicts are at times so subtle it can take some solid focus to bring awareness to the true source. This is why when one engages upon any level of spiritual path we shortly realize how we are our best teachers and that all life and living is indeed a lesson. One we can choose to have fun in or one that we can choose to stay bound by illusion and in essence our own personal deception.

We can only truly relax once we allow ourselves the power of faith. For the issues that arise that may bring us to a tense and restrictive state can at times make us feel as though we have no choice but to attempt to control them. This is actually pretty funny I think, because we really have no control over much but our own thoughts and the influences they bring into our lives. Hence how we are the creators of our reality. No matter what you are experiencing if you are able to remember that it is temporary and that even in the midst of great change one can find peace and that in doing so the doors of miracles open, well then you’re doing alright indeed!

Oh and don’t forget to replace all that low vibing stress with some higher vibes. Bring on the joy! Take a memory or a moment or go out and do something that brings you joy and remember that essence. So that you can recall it easily and strengthen it’s presence within your daily life. No matter what is on your hearts today my dear ones. No matter what it is, using this technique will help you come back to your body and allow the greater flow of the energies of creation to speak miracles into your lives and experiences.

Relaxing is so much more then sitting on a sofa and watching a lit up box. It is so much more powerful then so many of the ways we can choose to engage in to loosen the grip of stress in our lives. It is something that we have the ability to choose at any given moment and in doing and knowing this we make space for greater and more lasting “good stuff” aka blessings and miracles in our lives.
